All ten hens are laying this month. The Ameracauna laid her first egg on the 30th.
Two eggs were laid without a shell. Both on the 18th. Those are not accounted for in the chart.
September 4th gave us another double yolk egg. On the 7th, we caught a black snake attempting to swallow an egg, but it was larger than the snake could handle. Not seen any more evidence of a snake visiting again. One of the hens apparently did not want to go all the way to the next box, and laid her egg in our driveway. Perhaps she just could not wait. Our first blue egg on the 30th.
It would seem the downward trend has begun with the shortening of the daylight hours. September 13th the last day for getting 9 eggs.
